Business Meeting

Monday 5th February 2007

Ron Williams opened the meeting and welcomed everybody present.

 

Minutes of Previous Meeting:

 

The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted by all present.

 

Matters Arising:

 

The examiners were visited by Ron and Tom re the allegations of an examiner apparently falling asleep during tests. This would appear to have been resolved to a satisfactory manner and accepted by all concerned.

 

First Aid course is booked to take place on 6th Feb 2007 at the Alba centre in Bathgate. 10 Persons have been booked and it may be possible to accredit to-wards CPD.

 

The Waiting time is now down to under 3 weeks for normal driving tests at Bathgate test centre. This is due to 6 examiners working out of the test centre at most times.

 

Letter to be sent to BSM re use of test centre during test times and the practice of the reverse park.

 

 

 

 

The Examiners have been invited and have accepted to attend the next meeting on the 19th March 2007. It has also been agreed that an SE ADI will attend and answer any question in relation to Check Tests etc. It has been suggested that this may be held in Bathgate academy or a local hotel conference room.

 

A motion was put forward to change the night of the meeting to another night preferably to a Sunday but after a vote this was not carried and it has been agreed to keep it a Monday as this suited

 

Forthcoming Events

 

Iain Holgan to arrange a Go-karting league possibly, once a month involving a tour of the “local” Circuits. It was suggested that Euan be Kneecapped sorry Handicapped before being allowed to take part.

 

Ten pin bowling to be arranged in the near future.

 

Euan has agreed to attempt to organise a few events, Details to follow in Bills shop.

 

Sally suggested that a corporate event be organised at the Drivewize skid centre for anyone interested.

The next meeting will take place on Monday19th March 2007. Location to be announced.
